Ballet California Outreach

Outreach to the community will continue to be an important part of Ballet California by providing free and reduced-price tickets to live performances to disadvantaged and underserved populations. We aim to increase their exposure to quality art by providing access to attend the final dress rehearsals for yearly productions of the Nutcracker and Storybook ballets. Ballet California welcomes diverse audiences in order to fulfill its mission to bring high quality arts to the largest possible audience throughout the Southland.

A few of the organizations that have participated in: Ballet California’s Outreach Program included Pediatric Therapy Network, The Friendship Circle, Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Institute, Richstone Family Center, The Wonder of Reading, The Boys and Girls Club of LA Harbor, Rainbow Services, Peace for Kids, Ride to Fly, Walk with Sally, Belmont Village, St. Annes, Precious Lamb, and Habitat for Humanity. At Ballet California, we are constantly delighted to welcome new organizations into the program.

We are also proud to foster a spirit of community service in the over one hundred pre-professional dance students that belong to Ballet California. These dancers range in age from 4-21. The outreach performances provide these dancers with an opportunity to give back to the community and to advance their understanding of individuals different from themselves.
